Welcome to the NeuroMuscular Junction
Wellness Center! Our clinic is designed to facilitate the healing process & balancing of the Central Nervous System
with the Skeletal-Muscle System including muscles, tendons, ligaments and the connective tissue called fascia that wraps up
everything in the body, and assists in the body moving and working as one unit!
We use a method of Manual Therapy
called NeuroMuscular Therapy which studies and treats the effects of stress & pain on the body and how it transitions
from acute to chronic unceasing pain patterns using very specific soft tissue manipulation by following specific neurological
& physiological laws. By treating the body as a functional unit we are able to treat symptoms that have eluded other
well qualified health professionals. Whether you want to avoid, or have tried other mainstream methods of pain treatment
that haven't worked, such as medications/muscle relaxers, surgery, physical therapy or even chiropractic care, you
may want to schedule your appointments at the NeuroMuscular Junction Wellness Center!
We do not "fix"
anyone, we are FACILITATING the NATURAL healing process of the human body, assisting it where it is having trouble correcting
the HOMEOSTASIS of all of the body's systems.

What is Neuromuscular Massage Therapy? There is not a short
easy way to explain the comprehensive nature of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy, and not leave out some details that may "speak"
to certain people, that this technique would benefit their needs. We will do the best we can. Neuromuscular
Therapy is a structurally integrative approach to pain relief. The method is based on finding improper structural and biomechanical
patterns in the patient's body. Once these patterns are analyzed a comprehensive program is designed to guide the client
through the five stages of rehabilitation: 1. Eliminate muscle spasm 2. Restore flexibility 3.
Restore proper biomechanics 4. Increase muscle strength 5. Increase muscular endurance Our purpose
is to not only to eliminate the pain, but educate the patient on ways to prevent recurrence of the injury. Neuromuscular Therapy fills a void left by traditional health care by analyzing soft tissue causes of pain. According
to recent research approximately 90% of pain symptoms are considered idiopathic, which means there is no known cause. We believe
the reason there is no known cause is that a proper investigation into the patient's muscles and connective tissues is
not being performed. Neuromuscular Therapy is a way to thoroughly explore the neuro- musculoskeletal system in order
to find these hidden sources of pain. Restoring proper structure and biomechanics not only alleviate
pain, but can positively affect a variety of physical conditions. One of the neurological laws that is the basis for Neuromuscular
Therapy is Wolff's law. Simply stated, Form follows function and function follows form." Thus, a distortion in the
form of the body is often correlated to improper function of the body. For example, a slouching posture can decrease digestive
function or a trigger point in the ear can affect hearing or balance. When proper structure is restored to the body, the accompanying
physiological problems are often alleviated. At the Neuromuscular Junction Wellness Center, we believe that
you should not wait for the problem to start causing you pain! You have "hidden time bombs" being developed in your
body as we speak, due to stress and bad habits. These are trigger points, or noxious points in the body that may or may not
yet send referred pain to other parts of the body due to restricted circulation to those soft connective tissues. These trigger
points also cause muscle imbalances. think of all of your muscles (over 640) as "pneumatic levers" that are controlled
by electrical wires that control their power. When you have any kind of injury, even micro-injuries, it sets off a big chain
reaction, and the nervous system sends electrical impulses to each individual muscle fiber to make it contract in order to
protect the muscle fibers from getting anymore damage such as tears. However, if after awhile your body doesn't shut off
this signal, it will start developing negative forms of stress on the body and send pain and other symptomatic sensations,
such as numbness or tingling sensations. This also causes the pairs of muscles involved to pull against the skeletal structures
and each other, one getting stretched too much and one getting contracted too much. If these muscles with the imbalance are
attached to your spine, it can pull those vertebrae out of alignment. and cause more damange such as bulging/herniated or
ruptured discs and bone rubbing on bone that isn't normal. All of this results into the "PAIN-SPASM-PAIN CYCLE"
causing more stress and fatigue on the body, not letting it relax and function optimally! There are also other chain reaction
effects that happen as well. Nerves and blood vessels can get compressed and restricted between connective tissue or connective
tissue and bone. So we believe, why be REACTIVE to the problems that you think "suddenly" start
becoming worse? Why not become PROactive and PREVENTIVE and start getting specific Massage and Bodywork now to correct the
problems before they get worse?
