Kevin Graduated from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in March 2005 in
a challenging 700hour program with training and certificates in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Kinesiology, Swedish
Massage, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Sports Massage, Myofascial Therapy & Neuromuscular Therapy. He has done massages at UofM
, EMU and Cranbrook Institute working on the Administrative Staff. Kevin Graduated with Honors.
Following
graduation, his professional experience was extensive, including a salon in Belleville, Michigan, a chiropractic office in
Westland, MI and a day spa in Plymouth, Michigan. He also has done many outreach events at various locations including the
Michigan State Fair, performing chair massages for the DISCOVERY HEALTH CHANNEL and more recently the 2008 Weight Loss Expo
at the Rock Financial ShowPlace as well as Seated Massage at Eastern Michigan University Campus during final exams.
In April, 2006 Kevin opened "The NeuroMuscular Junction Wellness Center" wanting to provide better
service through educating his clientele on the necessity of them being part of their own healing process by learning
body awareness and performing self-care techniques. He shares information about the muscles he's working on so that
the client can get a better sense of their own body. He believes that neuromuscular massage therapy
should be applied BEFORE the client has major problems with their health. It is much easier to keep your health than
to try to get it back, and it is a lot less expensive! Do you really want the medical bills to pile up on top of all the pills
they might give you? At the Neuromuscular Junction Wellness Center, we want to make an HONEST LIVING helping you KEEP your
health!
Kevin continues to educate himself through Continued Education Courses. in the fall of 2008, he finished
his Neuromuscular Therapy Certification through the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy, completing the 4th NMT class and
also a course in Active Isolated Stretching. 2009 we attended the World Massage Conference - An online continuing education
program where therapists & bodyworkers can attend online lecture presentations.
In March 2010, the NeuroMuscular
Junction Wellness Center has started a new protocol of Postural Assessment using a Postural Analysis Grid Chart, by taking
photos of the client in front of this grid to show any distortion, allowing the client to see it for themselves! This will
improve our ability to figure out which muscles and areas of the body will need specific manual therapy, stretching or strengthening!
We are also taking steps to improve upon our orthopedic assessment methods.

Charity: Run Drugs Out of Town (RDOT)
5k/10k Run.
Saturday, June 13 2009 the NeuroMuscular Junction Wellness Center attended the
"Run Drugs Out of Town" 5k & 10k Runs at Nankin Mills, Hines Park in Livonia, Michigan held by the http://www.saveouryouthtaskforce.com/. Despite the rain, the event had a great turn out! Kevin worked with approximately 30 or so runners giving
them SPORTS MASSAGE. One runner wasn't sure about getting massage BEFORE she ran. Kevin convinced her to try it that her
muscles & body will perform more efficiently and prevent injury if she received massage for increased circulation in the
muscles. After she came back, she was SOO HAPPY and excitedly told Kevin, "It Worked! I beat my old record!". This
just PROVES that being proactive in using massage will give you OPTIMAL RESULTS IN PERFORMANCE IN ANY SPORT!
88.1FM WSDP Plymouth/Canton/Salem Radio Station Fundraisers
For
several years, we've donated gift cards, our time & expertise in Seated Massage & Manual Therapy towards fundraisers
for this radio station run by high school students so that they may continue their education in broadcasting.
In 2008 We set
up our booth at the Weight Loss Expo at the Rock Financial Show Place in Novi, Michigan. I knew that there would be other
massage therapists at this event, and most likely they would be offering Seated Massage - SO - I decided to bring my table
to offer more dynamic NeuroMuscular Therapy. Things were slow at first, but when I got my first person to work on, I ended
up with a WAITING LIST that spanded into the next day!
